Going to a rehab center can be a little scary if you’ve never been. We want you to know a little about the different ways we can help you manage and get rid of the pain you are experiencing.

Mechanical Traction  |  Dry Hydrotherapy  |  Low Level Laser  |  Synergy Exercises  |  Activa Patches  |  Cupping  |  Scraping

Mechanical Traction

The mechanical traction table, or roller table, is a specialized device featuring rollers that move up and down the spine gently. These rollers provide a form of passive motion exercise for the spine without any effort from the patient. The primary purpose of this treatment is to induce motion into the spine, thereby increasing mobility and stretching spinal joints.

Dry Hydrotherapy

Dry hydrotherapy, also known as aqua massage or water massage, is a type of therapy that employs water and heat without the patient getting wet. You lay on a water-filled cushion while jets of warm water target specific areas of the body. This massage offers a unique blend of convenience and therapeutic effectiveness.

Low Level Laser

Low level laser therapy, is a non-invasive recovery treatment, used in physical therapy and rehabilitation. It involves the use of low intensity wavelengths and works by directing light energy into the body’s cells. Which can stimulate cellular metabolism, enhance blood circulation, reduce inflammation, and promote tissue regeneration. This can help speed up the healing process in a range of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, and neuropathic pain.

Synergy Exercises

Synergy Exercises are a type of physical training that involves the simultaneous engagement of multiple muscle groups, to perform a single movement or action. These exercises are designed to mimic the natural movement patterns and synergies of the body, thereby enhancing functional strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. Synergy exercises can be particularly beneficial in rehabilitation settings, where our therapists they can help patients relearn how to use their muscles cooperatively following an injury or illness

Muscle Stimulation

Muscle stimulation, also known as electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), is a procedure that uses electrical impulses to stimulate muscles. The impulses can cause muscles to contract and relax, which can help improve muscle strength and function.  Electrical Stimulation is achieved by stimulating the motor nerve to a muscle by means of electrodes placed on the skin. Electrical stimulation can either increase the maximum contractile force in the muscle or it can recruit more fibers to contract with a given stimulus, thereby enhancing the strength of contraction.

Activa Patches

These patches have a built-in battery that delivers medicine — a steroid and anesthetic — into the skin over the injured area. This action creates a numbing effect while decreasing inflammation to the affected muscle tissue.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is an ancient healing technique used to relieve muscle pain. A healthcare provider places suction cups on the injured area of the body that creates a vacuum force inside the cups which pulls the skin upward. As a result, tiny blood vessels (capillaries) under the skin expand and break open allowing the cupped areas to be replenished with healthier blood flow and stimulate proper healing at the cellular level. It is generally effective at treating symptoms of conditions like all forms of arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, headaches, and hypertension.

Scraping

Scraping is a traditional Chinese medicinal intervention that uses specialized tools with smooth edges to manipulate soft tissues and increase blood flow to the injured area. This action improves circulation, eases muscle discomfort, and relieves chronic pain.
